The Chocolate Savant combined the best chocolate to work in our American made fountain. After we mix the chocolate for use in our fountain it has over 39% cocoa butter.  The chocolate we mix will also work in Sephra and Rival and other home chocolate fountains.  Just heat it in the pouch and pour it in your fountain.  Our chocolate can be used for dipping chocolate or as fondue chocolate.  Our chocolate can be melted in a microwave insides its sealed pouch before putting  the chocolate in your fountain or your fondue pot.  Can't decide which chocolate you want to try, buy an assortment of white, dark and milk chocolate in 1 pound pouches and try all of them.

Fondue quality chocolate should be maintained at a temperature just above its melting point.  The right temperature is important to help minimize the dripping of chocolate dipped treats.  Our chocolate melts at about 100 degrees and our fountains can maintain chocolate flowing at that perfect mouth watering temperature.

How much chocolate do you need for your chocolate fountain?

The first factor to determine the amount of chocolate required for an event is the type of event. Our experience has shown:

Weddings: 3/4 to 1.5 ounces per person
Events with a majority of children: 1 to 2 ounces per person
Office party: less than one ounce per person

The second factor is of course the number of people attending the event.  These numbers vary depending on the number of chocolate lovers and the numbers of people that stay away form chocolate (hard to believe but true). For an average wedding of 100 to 150 people you will need about 10 to 15 pounds of consumable chocolate.

The third and probably the most important factor is the size and efficiency of the fountain. The larger and the less efficient the fountain the more chocolate you will require to have a fountain flow evenly throughout an event. Our American made fountain is probably the most efficient one you will find in New England. The largest configuration of our fountain requires only 16 pounds of chocolate for the average wedding compared to the 25 pounds required for many other fountains.  Of course for very large events you will need a lot of chocolate and our fountain can hold over 35 pounds at the start of your event and more can be added.
