I’m Having a Garden Event. Can the Chocolate
Fountain be Used Outside?
Not unless you like to nibble on chocolate-covered grasshoppers! The Chocolate
Fountain has such a sweet, inviting aroma that all God’s heavenly creatures
are tempted! If you don't mind the bugs, you need to consider the wind. The
fountain's lowest layer is very thin and can be affected by the smallest wind
fluctuation, and this will cause the chocolate to blow out of the fountain.
In addition, the temperature of chocolate must be kept above 99 degrees and
fluctuating outdoor conditions will affect the chocolate’s integrity.

10. Why do you use couverature chocolate and what other kinds of chocolate can be used?
Couverture chocolate is basically cocoa, cocoa butter and sugar. To be couverture the chocolate must contain at least 32% cocoa butter. This chocolate is smooth and tasty. Other chocolates including compound chocolate coating, compound chocolate, chocolate summer coating, decorator’s chocolate, confectioners’ chocolate, confectionery coating, chocolate flavored coating, confectioners’ coating chocolate are made with vegetable oils instead of cocoa butter and they are much easier to use than couverture chocolate. The downside is that these types of chocolates do not have the rich taste and texture of couverture chocolate and in a chocolate fountain can cause excess dripping after treats are dipped.
